MacDonald Training and Consulting may collaborate with other firms and independent consultants to meet specific project requirements. MacDonald Training and Consulting is currently working in collaboration with Savoury Consulting Ltd. and     KLJ Consulting and Counselling.

A brief overview of each firm’s services, along with links to their websites, is provided below.

Savoury Consulting Ltd.

Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Savoury Consulting Ltd. founded in 2013, provides consultation and training on leadership development, change management, organizational development, evaluation services, human resources, conflict management/coaching, needs analysis and research, workplace assessments, mediation/facilitation, board governance, strategic planning, policy development, social work, and child and family services throughout Canada. Savoury Consulting has done major program reviews and training for clients in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick, Ontario, Manitoba, NT, Yukon and First Nations in Atlantic Canada and the Yukon.

George Savoury holds a BA, BSW and MSW (Policy and Administration) from Memorial University. He is approved for private practice as a clinical specialist by the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. He is a Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) in Clinical Social Work and Clinical Supervision by the American Board of Clinical Social Work (ABCSW), embodying the highest standards in clinical education, training and experience. George Savoury is also approved in clinical supervision by the Association of Psychological Therapies (APT), Canada. He has held positions ranging from social worker to senior positions of Director of Child Welfare, Director of Policy and Evaluation, Assistant Deputy Minister and Executive Director of Family and Community Supports for Persons with Disabilities.

KLJ Consulting and Counselling

Kathy Jones, owner of KLJ Consulting and Counselling possesses an extensive background in social work and health leadership, having held province-wide senior management positions across public health, social services, disability services and children’s developmental services on Prince Edward Island. Her expertise encompasses strategic planning, project and program management, social work subject matter and program/ service review.

 

Kathy has led significant complex initiatives such as the restoration of abortion care services in PEI after a thirty-year absence, primary health care renewal projects, and system redesigns for mental health and addictions. Additionally, she has overseen LEAN Six Sigma projects focused on the modernization of public health programs. Kathy’s approach is based on evidence, high quality, ethics and equity.
